The service is updated daily, although an update submitted online or through the MVA may take up to three weeks to appear. If there is no match, try the registered name or nickname, the former-address ZIP after a move, or the former name after a change. A failed match does not prove that no registration exists.

Prince George's Election Help for Landover Voter Records
Landover has no municipal election board because it is an unincorporated census-designated place. The local custodian is the Prince George's County Board of Elections at 1100 Mercantile Lane, Suite 115A, Largo, Maryland 20774. The office lists weekday hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., phone 301-341-7300, and election@co.pg.md.us. Verify hours before making a trip.
Contact the board when the online voter lookup does not match despite trying the registered name, prior ZIP, and former name. The same office is also the route for inspecting original registration records during office hours under Election Law §3-505. Originals remain with the local board except for a court order or data processing, and protected-address rules still apply.
Note: The Town of Landover Hills is a separate municipality, so its name should not be substituted for a Landover address without record support.
Fields Found in Maryland Voter Records for Landover
A voter record can identify registration and election geography without revealing a marked ballot. The fields available through a personal lookup, local inspection, or distributed file differ, so the access channel matters. Maryland recognizes party affiliation as well as unaffiliated status under Election Law §3-202, but affiliation never proves how a voter cast a ballot.

Confidential voter data. Social Security numbers, driver's-license or identity numbers, signatures, full birth dates in distributed data, and Safe at Home or otherwise protected addresses are confidential or restricted under Maryland election law, including Election Law §§3-505 and 3-506.
Landover Voting History Never Shows Ballot Choices
Participation history is often misunderstood. A Maryland voting-history row can report the election date, description, type, code, party field, voting method or date, precinct, early-vote location, jurisdiction, and county. It records that a person was credited with taking part. The secret ballot means it never reports a candidate selected or an answer marked on a question.
A history included within a voter list is narrower: it is limited to five elections and omits the voting method and date. The separate request form offers voting history for as many as ten elections. Treat either product as participation data, not evidence of political views or a person's choices.
Myth: A voter file reveals how someone voted. Fact: Maryland files can show participation, but ballot selections remain secret.
Protected Landover Voter Addresses and Safe at Home
Maryland Safe at Home, administered by the Secretary of State, provides eligible survivors with a substitute address and mail-forwarding structure. Election officials follow the program's safeguards, and a participant's residential address is automatically excluded from a list supplied under Election Law §3-506.
A separate confidentiality process created in 2025 can shield residence, email, and phone details in voter, candidacy, and campaign records for qualifying survivors and threatened people who provide documentation. A confidential voter cannot use online registration or ballot-status lookup and will not receive certain pre-election mailings. That limitation is a protection feature, not proof that the person's voter registration is absent.
Note: When an online match fails for a protected voter, use the local election board rather than testing more personal data in unrelated services.
Order a Maryland Voter File That Includes Landover
The full registration list is not open to every requester or every purpose. Election Law §3-506 allows only a Maryland registered voter to obtain a copy after a written application and sworn promise that the data will not be used for commercial solicitation or any purpose unrelated to the electoral process. Prince George's County is the jurisdiction choice for Landover records.

Choose the Right Landover Voter Data Product
Each state product answers a different election question. The registered list contains voter ID, name, party, gender, residence and mailing address, status, registration dates, precinct and district fields, and county. A walking list groups voters by precinct and street address with party, sorted by street and even or odd side.
Mail-in, permanent mail-in, provisional, early-voting, and cure files add product-specific status, source, reason, ballot style, location, date, and address fields described on the request form. Files are tab-separated, except the walking list, which is a PDF. The State Board does not provide custom formatting or technical support, so select the product and fields before ordering.
Note: A single-county file is the cleanest official scope for Landover, but it will cover all of Prince George's County rather than one census place.
Why a Landover Voter Record Can Become Inactive
An inactive label is part of list maintenance, not a statement about ballot choices. Under Election Law §3-502, a possible move prompts a forwardable confirmation notice with a prepaid return card. An in-state move updates the record and triggers notice, while a possible move out of state leads to confirmation.
Under §3-503, no response can produce inactive status. A registration application, petition, candidacy filing, absentee application, or Election Day residence affirmation can restore active status. Removal requires written confirmation, or no response combined with no voting or address correction through the next two general elections. Inactive voters are left out of official statistics.

Trace Older Landover Voter Rolls Through the Archives
Historical poll books and registration registers do not have a verified Landover-specific online series in the research record. Archive searches work by creating agency, series title, dates, medium, location, and citation rather than by a broad current-voter query.
Ask for series tied to Prince George's County and narrow the request with an election year, precinct or district, an address, and a known name. Because Landover is unincorporated and its postal label can cover more than one local boundary, avoid assuming that a modern ZIP maps neatly to an older precinct.
Use Landover Voter Registration Data Within the Law
The oath on Maryland's request form bars commercial or non-electoral use and forbids distribution, sale, or transfer. Knowing non-electoral use of a voter list is a misdemeanor under Election Law Title 16. Never use voter records to stalk, threaten, or harass. Keep the order form, oath, receipt, product description, and source date together. Limit access to the approved electoral purpose, do not republish protected details, and confirm a questionable status with the Board of Elections.
